RCA / Vigniette

All vehicles include the road tax (rovinieta) and mandatory liability insurance (RCA) in the rental price, under the rental company’s conditions. The included civil liability insurance provides coverage for any compensation granted to third parties in case of an accident caused by you.

CDW and Theft Protection

The rate shown includes CDW damage protection and theft protection (TP): in case of damage or theft, your liability is limited to the excess set for the car, shown in your booking summary. You can reduce it with SCDW, and with SCDW+ your liability for an accident and/or theft is removed. The exceptions (for example rims and tyres, the underside of the car, or drivers aged up to 21 or over 65) are set out in the Rental Conditions of the company that hands you the car.

CAR RENTALS AT THE OFFICE OR THE AIRPORT

We offer car rentals in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timișoara, with pick-up at the office or at the airport (in Bucharest, at Otopeni or Băneasa). You can choose small city cars, automatic cars, SUVs, 7- and 8-seaters and premium cars. One-way return cities are offered only for cars picked up in Bucharest: you choose the city in the booking form, and the one-way fee, calculated for your route, is shown in the price details. With our rent a car service you get 24/7 support, and you can read the rental conditions on the site before you book.

RENT A CAR

What you need to rent a car

  • Your original driving licence and an identity document.
  • The drivers: on Car-Rentals.ro you can book for drivers aged 19 to 80 whose driving licence is at least 1 year old; which licence you need is explained in our guide to car rental requirements in Romania.
  • A credit card for the deposit. A debit card or a fintech card can pay for the rental, but it cannot hold the deposit.
  • Payment at pick-up: nothing is paid online on Car-Rentals.ro. You pay the rental company when you collect the car, by card or in cash.
