DEFINITIONS:

The Contract – Includes information from the following documents: Rental Agreement, Rental Terms and Conditions, Handover-Receipt Form, and all specifications in the Contract Annexes, including the GDPR agreement.

Broker: car-rentals.ro, a car rental brokerage platform operated by S.C. GLOBAL REFERENCE SRL, VAT ID: 37309820, Trade Registry: J40/4430/2017, email: [office@globalreference.ro](mailto:office@globalreference.ro)

Partner: ExpediCAR.ro, a car rental company that actually provides the car rental services for car-rentals.ro.

The Vehicle / Automobile – The vehicle offered for rent through car-rentals.ro partners, supplied and managed exclusively by ExpediCAR.ro.

List Price – The daily rental rate (24h) corresponding to the rented vehicle, as displayed on [www.car-rentals.ro](http://www.car-rentals.ro).

Fuel – Gasoline, diesel, or electric charging, depending on the type of rented vehicle.

Client – The person who signs the rental contract to use a vehicle.

Annexes – Additional documents of the rental contract.

Handover-Receipt Report – Document noting the vehicle’s condition both at handover and return.

Rental Period – The period of vehicle use, starting from the signing of the handover-receipt report until the return of the vehicle, according to the contract.

Damage Fee Schedule – List of fees and tariffs that ExpediCAR.ro will charge the client, detailed by vehicle class according to the nature of damage caused to the vehicle.

Deposit / Guarantee – The client’s liability in case of damage, theft, and/or breach of contractual obligations.

PREAMBLE:
car-rentals.ro acts exclusively as an intermediary for car rental services, facilitating clients’ access to vehicles through its partner ExpediCAR.ro. The rental contract is concluded directly in partnership with ExpediCAR.ro, and any obligations related to delivery, maintenance, technical assistance, and guarantees lie solely with ExpediCAR.ro.

1. OBLIGATIONS OF CAR-RENTALS.RO

1.1. To mediate, through the car-rentals.ro platform, the reservation process of vehicles provided by the partner ExpediCAR.ro.
1.2. To ensure transparency of the rental process by providing clients with information on terms and conditions imposed by ExpediCAR.ro.
1.3. To facilitate communication between the client and ExpediCAR.ro for any requests related to the vehicle rental.
1.4. car-rentals.ro is not responsible for the delivery, maintenance, or any damage to the vehicle; these responsibilities belong exclusively to ExpediCAR.ro.

2. OBLIGATIONS OF EXPEDICAR.RO (CAR-RENTALS.RO’S OPERATIONAL PARTNER)

2.1. To provide the client with the right to use the vehicle by handing it over according to the contract.
2.2. To offer 24/7 roadside assistance within Romania for technical defects not caused by the client.
2.3. To start the procedure of vehicle replacement in case of major failure, if the defect is not the client’s fault.
2.4. To inform the client about fees and guarantees related to the rental, including those for reducing liability in case of damage.
2.5. To charge the fees established in the tariff schedule in case of damages to the vehicle during the rental period.

3. CLIENT’S OBLIGATIONS

3.1. To comply with the rental terms and conditions imposed by ExpediCAR.ro.
3.2. To return the vehicle in the same condition it was received, according to the handover-receipt report.
3.3. To bear any penalties for breaching contractual obligations imposed by ExpediCAR.ro.
3.4. Not to use the vehicle outside the contractually agreed conditions.
3.5. To pay all additional fees, including fines incurred during the rental period.

4. GUARANTEES AND LIABILITY

4.1. The damage deposit is charged and managed exclusively by ExpediCAR.ro.
4.2. Any accident or damage must be immediately reported to ExpediCAR.ro according to its procedures.
4.3. Fees for reducing the deposit (SCDW/SCDW+) are available and managed by ExpediCAR.ro.

5. PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

5.1. Payment for rental services is made according to ExpediCAR.ro’s payment policies.
5.2. Cancellations made without notice within the established deadline may incur penalties, as per ExpediCAR.ro’s policy.

6. FINAL PROVISIONS

6.1. car-rentals.ro acts solely as an intermediary and does not own, operate, or directly rent the vehicles.
6.2. Disputes related to vehicle use are resolved according to the contract signed directly with ExpediCAR.ro.
